LAW 5\/2024 OF DECEMBER 26<\/strong><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Law 5\/2024, of 26th<\/sup> December, on the General Budget of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands for 2025, has been published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands dated 30 December 2024.<\/p>\n

The Law incorporates various tax measures with an impact on various tax figures, including Personal Income Tax (IRPF) or the Canary Islands General Indirect Tax.<\/p>\n

The main changes are outlined below:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1.- Personal Income Tax<\/u> (IRPF).<\/strong><\/h3>\n

– Consolidation of the regional rate in force temporarily in 2022 and 2023, adding a deflation of the sections.<\/p>\n

– Increase in the amount of the personal and family minimums.<\/p>\n

– Abolition of the deduction for price increases approved on an extraordinary and temporary basis in the General Budget Law of the Canary Islands 2023<\/p>\n

– Various Modifications in the deductions in the full regional personal income tax quota<\/strong>, including:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Deduction for single-parent families:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \u20ac133 when the taxpayer does not live with a person other than the descendants or ascendants who generate a deduction.<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Deduction for daycare custody expenses<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      18% of the expenses (maximum \u20ac530 per descendant).<\/p>\n

      Conditions:<\/strong> Income \u2264\u20ac45,500 (\u20ac60,500 in joint taxation).<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Large family deduction<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        From \u20ac597 (general category) to \u20ac796 (special category). Increase if there is disability in the family nucleus.<\/p>\n

         <\/p>\n

          \n
        • Deduction for investment in a primary residence<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Percentages:<\/strong> 5% (income <\u20ac25,500), 3.5% (income between \u20ac25,500 and \u20ac45,500), with increases for people under 40 years of age.<\/p>\n

          Maximum base:<\/strong> \u20ac6,000 per year.<\/p>\n

            \n
          • Deduction for Rental of Primary Residence<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Deduction of 24%<\/strong> (maximum 740 euros<\/strong> per year) if the rent exceeds 10% of the income obtained.<\/p>\n

            Maximum income: 45,500 euros<\/strong>; increases in joint taxation.<\/p>\n

              \n
            • Deduction for Rent Linked to Dation in Payment<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Deduction of 25%<\/strong> (maximum 1,200 euros<\/strong> per year) for leases linked to dation in payment, with income not exceeding 45,500 euros<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

                \n
              • Deduction for Expenses of Adaptation of Properties for Lease<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                Deduction of 10%<\/strong> on repair, conservation and formalisation of contracts.<\/p>\n

                Maximum limit: 150 euros<\/strong> per property.<\/p>\n

                  \n
                • Deduction for Placing Homes on the Market for Habitual Rental<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  A single deduction of 1,000 euros<\/strong> per property rented under specific conditions.<\/p>\n

                   <\/p>\n

                  \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 2.- Canary Islands General Indirect Tax<\/u> (IGIC).<\/strong><\/h3>\n

                  Most of the modifications adopted are of a technical nature, focused on improving and clarifying the management of this tax. The following are incorporated<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

                  • \n
                      \n
                    • Exemptions for services provided by unions and groups<\/strong>: Conditions are established for tax exemption on services provided to members who carry out exempt or non-taxable activities.<\/li>\n
                    • Education and related services<\/strong>: The tax exemption is extended to educational and training services, including childcare, vocational training, and professional retraining.<\/li>\n
                    • 0% IGIC tax: <\/strong>Applicable to essential products such as bread, milk, fruits, vegetables, meat, and unprocessed fish, as well as non-precooked pasta.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                      3.- <\/strong>The amount of the fixed amount fees<\/strong> experiences a general increase of 1%.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
