Dear clients,

With the aim of keeping you permanently updated about the news regarding the different regulations and measures that are being approved in view of the health crisis, we would like to inform you that the Regulation SND/257/2020, of March 19th, has been published in the Official Spanish Gazette of March 19th, 2020, declaring the suspension of the opening of tourist accommodation establishments to the public, in accordance with article 10.6 of the Royal Decree 463/2020, of March 14th, by which the state of alarm has been declared in order to manage the current health crisis situation caused by COVID-19.

The opening to the public of all hotels and similar establishments, tourist accommodations and other short-stay accommodations, campsites, caravan parking spaces and other similar establishments, located anywhere within the national territory, is suspended.

As an exception, it shall be allowed to render surveillance, security and maintenance services in these establishments.

Despite the foregoing, those establishments that were accommodating clients at the moment of declaration of the state of alarm, are allowed to stay open to the public, provided that the infrastructure of the establishment allows the clients to carry out all activities representing basic needs, established in the Royal Decree 463/2020, inside their own living spaces. These establishments are not allowed to accept any new clients until the suspension has been declared finished.

The establishments must be closed to the public at the moment when there will be no more clients to be accommodated, and in any case, within the maximum term of seven calendar days from the date of March 19th, 2020, i.e. by March 26th, 2020.

The competent institutions of the different Autonomous Communities shall be entitled to issue specific resolutions and instructions for the compliance of said measures, which is why we are waiting to verify any possible resolution that may be issued by the competent authorities of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands.

We remain at your entire disposition to comment or give you further details on this information.

Kind regards,
